The Making of a Marc

30DC Update

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

The Thirty Day Challenge is proving to be, well, a little more challenging than I thought. That, combined with one of those weeks, adds up to no posts here at t-e, and for that I apologize. However, I have to say that what I have learned in the last week has completely blown away everything else that I have studied and learned over the last year and a half.

You see, I have been looking into web marketing for some time now, but being a cheap old man, was reluctant to shell out the cash for the courses. The main reason was that I don’t trust these mile long sales pages, full of testimonials that I couldn’t verify, even if I wanted to. But I digress…

To recap: in the 30DC, we have learned how to select, evaluate, and research a niche, narrow it down to one or two “umbrella phrases”, and even get a good handle on how much traffic these keywords will generate. That last one is done using Google Trends, and is cooler than cool.

Next we will be learning how to become experts in our niche, and create content for that niche. I haven’t been this excited about business on the internet since I first realized that I could realistically make a living on the web! I’m so happy!

Final note: because of the volume of 30DC stuff that I am doing, I can’t promise daily updates, but I will do a weekly recap. In the meantimes, I will post as I have the time to. It’s only till the end of August, I promise :)
