Cheese has always been a bit of a Christmas tradition in our family. That, and 12 year old Scotch Whiskey. So I thought that this year, instead of hunting around for that last cheese basket at the back of the store shelf, I would try and find a “Cheese of the Month Club” that I could send to various family members. My requirements are simple: the club must offer a good selection of hand crafted, artisanal cheeses, reasonable (or free) shipping, and a personalized gift announcement.
What I found was AmazingClubs.com, which has more than just a cheese club. There are 26 different clubs here, including a Wine Club, a Beer Club, and a Chocolate Club. In fact, between all the different clubs, I was pretty sure that I could find something for just about everybody in the family. The club offers 3 month, 6 month, 12 month, and “Cheese of the Season” subscriptions, and the prices seem very reasonable to me.
I encountered only one problem, but for me, it’s a doozy: the company only ships to the continental United States. That rules out my entire family, as we are all Canadians, living in Canada, except for my Uncle John, who is an American. Unfortunately, for Uncle J., he lives in Hawaii, so he’s still out of luck. Too bad, because this was exactly what I was looking for…
